The overall design of the conference: “Intelligent arms and systems for collective defence and security” As a continuation of the tradition of our cooperation with the Ministry of Defense and military educational institutions, our conference this year will be in partnership with the National Military University "Vasil Levski" and the Naval Academy "Nikola Vaptsarov" under the Patronage of the Minister of Defense. The war in Ukraine has introduced new dimensions and new understandings of modern warfare and the ways of conducting combat operations. Issues related to the development and use of intelligent weapons and systems have been constantly discussed in recent years. Today, we see their actual use. It can be rightly argued that the innovations and technologies developed by companies have outpaced classical military approaches to protection and production, and that these technologies are changing the strategy and tactics of combat operations. It is a fact that a commercial satellite communication system is being used, it is a fact that commercial drones are being used for reconnaissance and strikes against the enemy, and it is also a fact that commercial software tools, including those using artificial intelligence that identify enemy objects and targets, are being used.This is why AFCEA SOFIA CHAPTER is proposing this particular topic. - Which systems will lead to faster and cheaper results;

- What is the role of critical infrastructure;

- How to build synergy between users, science, and business;
